69 SWB Fleetside
69 SWB fleetside. Originally a Western
Kentucky Gas truck (baby blue in color), hub caps,
the whole deal. Bought by a friend of mine in 1989 and torn down pretty much
just cleaned up
and repainted corvette red and white. I bought it in 1998 and it had only been
driven
5000 miles or so, since 1990. I decided I wanted a Pro Street truck, so in the
fall of 2000,
the teardown began.
It now has a 462 c.i.d. big block with eagle rods, TRW pistons, Merlin heads,
Comp cams,
Pete Jackson gear drive...all the good stuff. Ford 9 inch rear with coilovers
and a 4 bar set up,
and Hoosier Pro Street radials on Weld draglites. More to come :) Brad
