68 Chevy C10 LWB
Here is just a few things that I did over
the last five years on my frame off resto of my 68 C-10
long box.
Frame mods smoothed and filled. All unused holes sealed whole frame all new
Urethane bushings
upgraded to 13" rotors and calipers GM fronts and control arms from a 72
3/4 ton to five lug same
on the rear lowered front 4" inches 6" out back all new Hardware and
ball joints . 3.73 gearing with dutchmen pro street tempered 5 lug axles. Power
plant 350 small block 400 ponies with holly 750 double pumper with K&N high
flow cleaner. TH-350 B&M stage two kit Shift Kit also B&M
Torque converter. Hidit shift linkage all new wiring from GM holly
electric fuel pump flex light electric fans two 12". new modern four
row cooler to cruise the strip. Tons chrome & polished aluminum through out
. Interior done in a south western Indian blanket full cloth same on dash.
Bezels redone with Autometer gauges, grant custom wheel, with Boss security
system installed. All
knobs and finish work supplied buy bossier machine and Idiot 73 tilt column
sound system supplied buy pioneer. Paint and body work done by myself, no filler
all metal just skim coat to make just right. Paint is PPG matador red
three color pearl and Gold Z71 six coats clear, cut & buffed to perfection.
Custom pin stripping done buy old school Striper in the south west style,
frenched antenna with power up & down. Inverted rear gate lock and smoothed
3-1/2 inch Tubes with magna flows. Wheel's are Boyd's 17" with 278-85 rear
and 278-65 fronts Eagle F ones. Plus much much more. This truck is a real show
stopper, won all shows entered. Won NAPA COOL RIDE June 04.
